What is the GTA? What benefits will
the fighters have access to? How
will the GTA benefit promoters? Read
on!
The GTA (General Tienchai Academy of
the Hellas ) was founded by Arjarn
Vangelis "Rhino" Xanthakis. It is
the largest Muay Thai organization
in the Hellas and the longest
standing. This past year, Arjarn
Vangelis requested the help of a
handful of his students to establish
a sanctioning body that will not
only oversee muay thai events but
something that will offer much more
to the fighting community. The GTA
is a non-profit organization that
have been established to aid in the
growth and exposure of Muay Thai,
not only in the HELLAS, but also in
all of the countries the GTA is
already established in. The GTA has
thousands of members and now the GTA
will provide benefits for Muay Thai
fighters and promoters in the GTA
community.
The GTA is in the process of putting
together an incredible benefits
package for both the fighters and
the promoters. Below is a list of
the benefits we are working on
pulling together for GTA members:
Fighter's Group Accident Insurance
to cover injuries at events.
Discounts on a GTA promoter's Liability
insurance.
Group Health Insurance for gym
owners.
Lower rates on Gym/School insurance.
Group Discounts on Hotels, Airlines, and other
travel for all GTA members.
Event Travel Assistance to aide in
securing better matched fights, no
matter where the opponent resides.
Pro Purse assistance to help
promoters provide more opportunities
for Pro's fighters.
Tuition/Gym Membership Assistance
for lower income fighters.
College Scholarships for fighters
excelling in their communities and gyms.
Equipment assistance for low income
fighters to purchase their own
equipment.
A full time Marketing Director to
aide event promoters in securing
event sponsors and assist with
marketing strategies to help with
ticket sales.
Discounted printing costs for GTA
sanctioned events.
Certified, trained officials that
have met full requirements of the
GTA & AITMA.
Consistency in Rules and regulations
for Muay Thai across the states and
countries.
More accurate records: Consistency
in recording fighters records.
The above are just some of the
things the GTA is working on to help the
Muay Thai fighters, gyms and event
promoters. These are just beginning.
The GTA is a group of Arjarn's
students that will work together to
increase exposure of Muay Thai
across the Hellas/Greece and around
the world.
